On Saturday December 13, 2014 the Glacier Chapter hosted a ceremony for the placement of wreaths as part of the Wreath's Across America program at the Montana State Veterans Home Cemetery in Columbia Falls. This year our chapter placed over 200 wreaths on veteran graves! The ceremony was well attended by community, SAR and DAR members. A special guest was Montana Governor Steve Bullock as a keynote speaker! The first picture on the left shows Gov. Bullock with Glacier Chapter President Steve Armstrong. In the second photo Gov. Glacier Chapter sponsored the selling of wreaths as part of Wreaths Across America, to honor our veterans at the Montana State Veterans Home Cemetery in Columbia Falls. This was the first year Glacier took on the responsibility of also being the site coordinator and we had a very successful and large turnout of nearly 50 individuals. This was the largest attendance for the ceremony at the Veteran's Home Cemetery. We look forward to it's continued growth and importance in the Flathead Community! |
